Try to see the entire frame; notice how the background compliments or distracts from the main subject. Use the edge of the camera frame as a compositional device. For instance, how would the composition change in the top picture if you did not center the flower, but instead bisected it with the edge of the frame. Sometimes images with the most daring compositions are the ones that we remember.
